We are seeking a talented individual to join our Project Management team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in New York City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least two days a week in the office. Acting as an intermediary between business, technical client service teams, the Lead Project Manager will drive technology- and process-based solutions by translating business strategies into actionable requirements and overseeing delivery. You will lead complex projects end-to-end, provide thought leadership on best practices, and help teammates thrive while collaborating with stakeholders across the company.
We will count on you to:
- Translate business strategies and objectives into clear business, functional, and operational requirements using established requirements management methodologies and tools.
- Lead and manage projects from initiation through implementation, including scope, timelines, risks, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure requirements and specifications are effectively communicated to and understood by technical development and implementation teams.
- Oversee and support testing activities, including reviewing test plans and results, and assisting junior staff in analyzing final requirements.
- Manage data and reporting requests, partnering with stakeholders to define needs and deliver accurate, timely outputs.
- Define and implement best practices with internal and external vendors, including continuous review and process improvement.
What you need to have:
- 10+ years’ experience in project management and/or business analysis, including leading complex technology or process change initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategies and objectives into detailed requirements and business specifications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across business and technical teams.
- Experience managing data and reporting needs, and supporting testing, training, and documentation efforts.
