About the Role
The TPM Product Owner is part of Mattel's Global Technology Organization (GTO) and serves as the strategic product owner for Salesforce Consumer Goods (CG) Cloud Trade Promotion Management (TPM) capabilities.
This role partners closely with Commercial, Sales, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), Finance, Customer Development, and Technology teams to define product strategy, prioritize investments, and maximize business value across the TPM platform.
The Product Owner is responsible for the long-term product roadmap, backlog prioritization, release planning, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement of Salesforce TPM capabilities. This role works closely with Development, QA, Salesforce Tech Ops, Release Management, and Commercial Portfolio leadership to ensure solutions are delivered with quality, scalability, and operational readiness.
This is a senior leadership role requiring deep knowledge of Trade Promotion Management processes, enterprise application delivery, Agile product management, and commercial business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud TPM product roadmap and long-term product vision.
- Partner with Commercial leadership to align technology investments with business priorities.
- Define strategic product objectives that improve trade planning, execution, and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology innovation and automation.
- Evaluate new Salesforce capabilities and emerging technologies to drive continuous product evolution.
Product Ownership & Backlog Management
- Own and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, operational priorities, technical dependencies, and risk.
- Define epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Balance strategic initiatives, production support, technical debt, compliance requirements, and operational improvements.
- Partner with Solution Delivery teams to ensure backlog readiness for sprint planning.
- Continuously refine priorities based on changing business needs.
Commercial Process Leadership
Serve as the technology product owner for capabilities including:
- Trade Promotion Planning
- Customer Planning
- Key Account Management (KAM)
- Promotion Execution

Partner with business stakeholders to optimize commercial processes and improve user adoption across these capabilities.
Release Planning & Delivery
- Participate in portfolio planning and release planning activities.
- Define business priorities for upcoming releases.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ensure business readiness before production deployments.
- Participate in release validation and hypercare activities.
- Approve completed features prior to production deployment.
Operational Excellence
Partner with the Salesforce Tech Ops team to:
- Prioritize production issues.
- Review root cause analyses.
- Drive continuous platform improvements.
- Improve operational KPIs.
- Optimize platform adoption.
- Enhance business processes through automation.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary technology liaison for TPM capabilities.
- Facilitate roadmap reviews with executive leadership.
- Communicate release plans, priorities, and product strategy.
- Build consensus across multiple business functions.
- Drive adoption of new platform capabilities.
Product Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish product governance practices.
- Measure product success through KPIs and business outcomes.
- Evaluate enhancement requests against strategic priorities.

- Ensure compliance with enterprise governance and SOX requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience supporting enterprise commercial applications.
- Minimum 5 years serving as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or senior Business Systems Lead.
- Deep expertise in Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud and Trade Promotion Management.

- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile management tools.
- Experience working with enterprise integrations, APIs, and commercial data platforms.
- Knowledge of ITIL, release management, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience supporting global Consumer Goods organizations.
- Familiarity with SOX, governance, and compliance requirements.
