The Lead Product Manager Conceives of, develops, delivers, and manages products for customer use. The Lead Product Manager works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

The Lead Product Manager Leads all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace by developing products to meet specific customer needs and achieving specific cost and success outcomes. Once products are launched, monitors efficacy of products and uses customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation, adjusting products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks and works under minimal supervision.

The primary focus of this role will be leading Enterprise Operations Enablement (“EOE”) RFX process, supporting contract management, financial planning, and support of product development efforts for technology.

  • Leads EOE RFX process for RFI, RFP, RFQ supporting vendor contracting, partnering with Procurement, Corporate Finance, IT Portfolio, IT Finance, Vendor Management Office, etc.
  • Leads EOE IT vendor renewal efforts in collaboration with our partners mentioned above.
  • Leads EOE efforts in collaboration with Procurement and other partners with new IT vendor contracts that support EOE initiatives and products.
  • Leads EOE efforts in ensuring business DRI's within EOE manage vendor relationships and invoicing.
  • Ensures funding is available and appropriate documentation and approvals are solidified prior to initiating RFX processes (depending on requirements per level RFI, RFP, RFQ, etc.
  • Works with IT vendor management, IT finance, to help with invoicing and contract renewals.
  • We operate with SAFe methodology and SAFe Agile product teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Requires 8+ years technical experience or equivalent experience
  • Requires 2+ years product leadership / product delivery experience
  • Prior contract management experience
  • Lean Product Management / Lean Portfolio Management experience
  • Experience with budgeting and tracking budget line items through the financials to ensure initiatives are properly funded. Demonstrated understanding of how to validate sufficient funding
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Experience with RFx process: RFI, RFP, RFQ
  • Ability to think at a portfolio level and be able to align initiatives to our strategic themes
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. Experience creating and presenting information to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and C-Suite.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday
  • This role is a remote opportunity that will require 5% or less travel, depending on business needs
  • This position requires learning many systems, policies, and tools, and it takes time to become proficient in the role. You must be willing to remain in this position for a period of 12 months before applying to other Humana opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAFe LPM certification
  • SAFe POPM certification
  • Previous experience in finance and/or data and analytics disciplines
  • Previous experience in actuarial discipline
  • Prior experience working closely with internal IT and external vendors including contract management
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Previous experience coaching and developing associates, both formally and informally

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$123,800 - $170,400 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
