Rapid7's Product Management team is responsible for helping customers command their attack surface across a wide array of uses cases that drive security operations. Our teams design, build and manage , application security, cloud security, detection & response, vulnerability management, and offensive security products. Our customers use our products to improve their security posture and collaborate with stakeholders as effectively and efficiently as possible.

bout the Role
We are looking for an experienced product leader with a proven track record in new product formulation, development, and launch. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Management, this role is based in Arlington, VA as hybrid role. You will be working closely with customers, sales, marketing, user experience and engineering teams to connect the dots between the customer, the technology, and the business. This is a unique opportunity to drive tremendous impact in a hot market and help guide a new product from conception to launch!
In this role, you will:

• Work with product leadership, user experience and engineering teams to develop product plans aligned with market requirements and opportunities for growth.
• Lead cross-team collaboration for product planning, prioritization, development, launch and on-going enhancements that balance responsiveness to customer needs with strategic market impact.
• Encourage data driven product decisions leveraging market research, utilization metrics, user feedback and customer partnership.
• Work with product and marketing leadership to develop content, messaging and competitive positioning based on customer value and real world use cases.
• Be an advocate for the new product across the organization, with analysts, and with existing and prospective customers.

The skills you'll bring include:

• 5+ years of experience in product management roles
• 3+ years of cloud security experience, application security experience is a plus
• Demonstrated success in planning, managing and launching products
• Engineering experience working with public cloud infrastructure and security a plus
• Strong organization and planning skills
• Analytical, problem solving mindset
• Healthy curiosity, thirst for knowledge and willingness to get hands-on
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical topics
• Passion for research and keeping up to date with competitive and industry trends
• Ability to partner with others and drive toward solutions
• Willingness to travel abroad (up to 30%), when safe to do so!
