What will you contribute?
Reporting to the Head of Product for Mid-Market, the Lead Product Manager will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy, roadmap, and commercialization of payment solutions across ACH, Wires, RTP, FedNow, and ISO 20022 initiatives. This role serves as the product and domain leader for payment modernization, partnering closely with customers, sales, engineering, implementation teams, industry associations, and strategic partners to deliver innovative payment capabilities, drive market adoption, ensure regulatory readiness, and maximize business value. The Lead Product Manager will play a key role in shaping product direction, influencing investment decisions, supporting revenue growth, and strengthening Finastra's competitive position in the payments market.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Your deliverables as a Lead Product Manager will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Define and execute product strategy and roadmap for ACH and payment modernization initiatives, aligning investments with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities, emerging payment trends, and product enhancements that increase market share and customer value.
Serve as the subject matter expert for ACH processing, payment lifecycle management, NACHA requirements, returns, exceptions, fraud controls, and operational workflows.
Lead product initiatives supporting payment schemes including ACH, Fedwire, RTP, FedNow, SWIFT, and ISO 20022 payment modernization.
Own product backlog prioritization and collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, UX, QA, and Professional Services teams to deliver high-quality product capabilities.
Define business requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans to support agile product delivery.
Engage directly with banks, credit unions, and strategic customers to gather feedback, validate requirements, and identify product improvement opportunities.
Partner with Sales and Solution Consulting teams to support customer presentations, RFP responses, demonstrations, product positioning, and strategic pursuits.
Develop product messaging, value propositions, competitive differentiation, and sales enablement materials to support revenue growth.
Support pricing strategy, commercialization efforts, and go-to-market initiatives for new and existing payment capabilities.
Establish and maintain relationships with key industry organizations, strategic partners, and third-party providers to align product roadmaps and integration strategies.
Monitor regulatory and industry developments impacting payments and drive product readiness for evolving market requirements.
Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
Represent Finastra at industry conferences, customer advisory sessions, webinars, and market-facing events.
Drive innovation and next-generation payment capabilities that create long-term value for customers and support Finastra's strategic growth objectives.
Required Experience:
Experience in Product Management, Payments, Banking Technology, or Financial Services.
Deep knowledge of ACH payment processing, NACHA rules, payment operations, and exception management.
Experience with payment modernization initiatives, including ISO 20022, RTP, FedNow, Fedwire, and SWIFT payment ecosystems.
Proven experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, business requirements, and product delivery plans.
Strong customer-facing experience with banks, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
Experience supporting sales engagements, product demonstrations, RFPs, and commercial opportunities.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and global teams.
