Summary Generated by Built In

MongoDB’s mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere—on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

As the Group Product Manager, Growth & Developer Experience, you’ll be front and center working with your team to drive the vision, strategy, and execution for activation, retention, and expansion. You’ll partner with engineering, design, marketing, data science, and sales to build and optimize the growth engine for a ~$2B+ public company.

This role follows a hybrid working model in our New York City office, or can be performed remotely anywhere in the United States.

  • Lead cross-functional pods across Engineering, Design, and Data Science to deliver high-impact growth initiatives, including onboarding, self-service upgrades, and audience shifts
  • Mentor and guide Product Managers to think broadly and creatively about the customer journey, instilling a culture of innovation and strategic problem-solving
  • Analyze user data and funnel metrics to uncover friction points, identify opportunities, and prioritize experiments that drive measurable outcomes
  • Partner with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Data Science, with visibility up to the executive level
  • Own the roadmap for growth features and optimizations, balancing quick wins with long-term strategic investments
  • Build consensus and rally support for cross-product growth initiatives, ensuring alignment across teams and leadership
What we look for
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing and developing Product Managers
  • 7+ years of product management experience
  • Background in engineering (computer science, electrical, or software)
  • Experience leading cross-functional, multi-year projects from inception to delivery
  • Experience crafting innovative growth strategies that expand market reach and build long-term product differentiation
  • Ability to understand developer needs and deliver seamless onboarding, education, and product experiences
  • Experience leading on-time delivery across Product, Design, and Sales while demonstrating strong ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex product ideas, rally teams, and evangelize new growth initiatives across the org
  • Data-driven and business-minded with the ability to understand why products resonate with customers and how to measure long-term impact
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify insights, uncover opportunities, and translate findings into actionable strategies
  • Experience building programmatic product experiences with a deep understanding of developer-centric requirements, including IAM, integrations, and automation use cases
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and high-functioning team environment and to developing future leaders
  • Comfort with ambiguity and change, with a strong focus on process and efficiency
