Job Purpose

This position is responsible for the regionalization and new product development of centrifugal compressors, including planning, design, validation and continuous improvement, to deliver optimized products with optimal performance, best cost, highest reliability and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Product Development

  • Drive regionalization programs and new product development of centrifugal compressors to support regional market needs and business growth.
  • Work with Application Engineer, Regional sales & Marketing team to align product strategy & specifications.
  • Interact with functional teams to ensure the NPD checklist and guidelines have been followed and meet program schedule.
  • Plan and participate in qualification activities, including prototyping build, performance, reliability & system test, and root cause analysis for potential failure mode & improvement actions identification.
  • Lead product safety reviews and prepare associated documentation for certification approval.
  • Research industry trends and identify patent opportunities to drive innovation and enhance product competitiveness.

2. Customer Supports

  • Participate in customer visits and engagements to capture, analyze, and translate the VOC into product requirements.
  • Support customer activities from early feasibility studies through formal validation, including technical guidance and problem solving.

3. Maintain product and support improvement

  • Work with global engineering team for global product regionalization.
  • Provide technical solutions for continuous maintenance and improvement after product launch.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Energy & Power Engineering, Turbomachinery, or related fields
  • More than 7 years (BS) or 5 years (MS) working experience in centrifugal compressors or turbomachinery.

Requirements and Attributes

  • Proven experience in new product development of centrifugal compressors.
  • Deep understanding of centrifugal compressors and turbomachinery design.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, including system principles, electrical integration, and centrifugal compressor applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proactive mindset with strong ownership and execution ability.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work across teams.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
