Job Description

As Lead Product Designer for direct-to-customer journeys, your focus will be on delivering high-quality mobile and web experiences that feel simple, intuitive, and trustworthy. You’ll lead the design of key customer journeys from first interaction through to completion, solving problems across end to end journeys and iterating based on evidence and feedback. While you’ll work within an established design system, this role is first and foremost about experience quality — setting a high bar for interaction, accessibility, and usability.

You’ll partner closely with Product Managers and Engineers to explore problems, test ideas early, and deliver solutions that perform well for customers and the business. You’ll be expected to sweat the detail where it matters, while also knowing when to lean on existing patterns to keep us delivering value to customers. This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the work, values craft, and takes pride in creating digital experiences that genuinely feel better than what customers expect from a bank.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in product or digital design, with experience leading complex customer-facing journeys.
  • Strong end-to-end product design capability, including discovery, user research, ideation, prototyping, and iteration.
  • Proven experience designing high-quality mobile and responsive web experiences at scale.
  • Deep understanding of interaction design, visual craft, accessibility, and usability best practice.
  • Experience working with and contributing to design systems, applying components and patterns effectively to real user problems.
  • Ability to frame design work around customer and business outcomes, not just outputs.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A passion for delivering best-in-class digital experiences that set a high bar for quality, clarity, and consistency.
