About Eucalyptus

We're on a mission to make good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people live with obesity worldwide, driving preventable chronic conditions. We're here to build better long-term care.

Eucalyptus is now part of Hims & Hers, the global leader in personalised health and wellness.

Euc is the company behind Juniper, one of the world's largest weight-management programs combining GLP-1 medication with personalised nutrition, movement support, and clinician-led care from prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, and dietitians. Our published clinical research shows that our combined clinical and behavioural approach helps patients lose significantly more weight during their treatment with Juniper by four times.

Our Growth Story:
  • Supporting patients living with obesity across our 5 markets
  • Received selective NICE endorsement to provide services to the NHS
  • Tailored our offering to thousands of patients in Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan and Canada.

About the role (What you’ll be doing)
You're a talented Lead Product Designer with a passion for health and excitement about building our expanding healthcare platform. You enjoy working in dynamic environments, solving complex problems, and creating thoughtful, user-centred design solutions that make a real impact.
  • Own a domain, a product line's design, or a system others depend on.
  • Drive outcomes across the domain, not a single surface. You tie design to revenue, retention and cost, and to outcomes like trust and operational efficiency.
  • Set the quality bar for a group of designers. You raise it by shipping and by coaching.
  • Take line management of designers, where the team needs it. You develop people without leaving the craft.
What good looks like
  • Scope — you own a domain and the system under it.
  • Impact — you moved domain-level outcomes. Revenue, retention or cost, not just a feature.
  • Influence — you coach and develop designers, formally or informally. You build coalitions beyond design. The bar rises around you.

About you (Who you are)

You're a talented Lead Product Designer with a passion for health and excitement about building our expanding healthcare platform. You enjoy working in dynamic environments, solving complex problems, and creating thoughtful, user-centred design solutions that make a real impact.

Skills & experience
  • Problem definition. You shape problem definition across a domain. With evidence and the input of others, you focus the team on what matters and cut what does not. You turn ambiguity into a plan the team can run.
  • Visual craft. Non-negotiable, and you set the paradigms and standards the team calibrates to, motion and micro-interactions included.
  • Accessibility. You set the domain's bar. Compliance is the floor, not the target, and you coach others past checkbox thinking.
  • Systems thinking. You build the infrastructure. Design systems, information architecture, shared surfaces across mobile and emerging platforms like AI interfaces. You think in service design terms, connecting the app to the clinician and the delivery. The full 360, not just the screen.
  • Product and commercial sense. You connect design to the numbers that move the business. You bring the patient voice into the room and the commercial case with it.
  • Communication. You align people. Clear writing, sharp critique, opinions others can act on. What you chose not to do is as clear as what you built, and it closes debates rather than reopening them.
  • Working in the open. You build the conditions for it. Critique over presentation, rough work shared safely, feedback that makes the work better.

How you work with AI
  • Advanced prototyping. You test real ideas in real code, fast.
  • You redesign how your team works with AI, not just your own loop.
  • You know where AI does not belong, and you hold that line for the team.
  • You expose weak operating models and fix them. Judgement over production, set as a standard others follow.
The full stack

We expect you to work end to end, from problem definition and research to information architecture and UX writing.

  • You set the research and experimentation bar for your domain.
  • You make others better at validation, testing and reading results honestly.
  • You raise the writing bar. In regulated health, that is craft and compliance at once.
  • You set the bar for problem definition, especially on the hardest, most ambiguous problems.
Your portfolio

Show problem solving that moved a commercial lever across a broader product area, not a single surface. We want to see the craft, polish and care throughout, how you elevated the people around you and built an inclusive team culture, and how AI reshaped the way your team worked. How you write it says as much as what you show. Concise and clear is a signal of how you communicate. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Experience

Typically 8 years or more in product design, with a track record of owning a domain, building systems others depend on, and developing other designers.

Behaviours & attitude
  • Patient-first mindset. You put patient outcomes first. Every decision weighs commercial growth against clinical safety and care, and you don't let one erode the other. You understand real health journeys well enough to make them simple, accessible and worth trusting.
  • Collaborative creation. You work well across product, engineering and clinical, and you know a good idea can come from any of them. You listen to feedback and take it on, using it to make the work better.
  • Curiosity. You ask why before how. You stay curious about the patient, the problem and the tools you use to solve it, and you're comfortable being a beginner when something new is worth learning.
Why you should join Euc
  • Our teams are incredibly passionate — Our talent bar is high and our work ethic is strong. You'll get to stretch yourself everyday and work amongst people who care deeply about our patients. You'll be given autonomy to tackle interesting problems and receive regular feedback from a supportive team.
  • We move at incredible speed — You'll work with team mates who build in the open by sharing their work freely; this helps us learn and iterate quickly so we can deliver high quality outcomes faster than our competitors. You'll spend a lot of time outside of your comfort zone learning and iterating frequently, we wouldn't have it any other way.
  • We will invest in your career — You'll get access to an annual professional development budget, mentors and buddies to ensure that you have the support you need to level up. You can expect regular performance and pay reviews as your career grows.
  • We are all owners — You'll be given equity to ensure that you are able to benefit in the upside of your contribution in helping Euc grow. Your ideas will be valued regardless of your role, you will have ownership over the projects you work on which will feel both terrifying but extremely fulfilling.
  • We play as hard as we work — From our annual Eucalympics (Olympic themed hackathon), monthly health & fitness allowances, free weekly barista coffees, funded social clubs, quarterly rooftop parties and weekly catered fireside chats, we know how to let our hair down!
  • We'll have your back when you need us the most — You'll be able to lean on a range of leave offerings to support you when needed, this includes: personal health and professional development leave, a generous parental leave that offers 20 weeks paid leave for a primary carer, additional miscarriage leave (see more on Kin Fertility's #WeNeedMoreLeave campaign), as well as our Employee Assistance Programme.

At Eucalyptus, we value individuals from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we embrace the unique qualities each person brings. When you apply, please let us know of any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process. We use AI-assisted tools across our business to help our teams work more efficiently, including within our recruitment process. These tools support our team — all hiring decisions are made by real people, and every application is reviewed by a member of our recruitment team.
