About the Role

The Chorus Platform design team is seeking a highly skilled and creative Lead Product Designer to spearhead the design and user experience efforts for some of our most strategic design initiatives for our platform product. As the Lead Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare technology by creating intuitive, user-friendly, and visually stunning products that address the unique challenges faced by healthcare professionals and patients alike. Our leadership team, with backgrounds from companies like Apple and Nike, is committed to making a positive impact on the world by bringing top-tier product design expertise to those who need it most: our communities.

The ideal candidate should possess a genuine passion for (and experience with) creating refined user experiences for platform products with a special focus on data, integrations, and AI. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as well as the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations, adept problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Above all, the role requires a dedicated individual who understands Apple-level standards of excellence, and has a design aesthetic that is intentional, simple, and beautiful.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end product design process, from concept ideation and user research to prototyping, user testing, and final UI/UX design.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and platform users to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure a seamless integration of design and technology.
  • Leverage user personas, user journey maps, and wireframes to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to the team.
  • Partner with user research to capture and understand user needs, pain points, and behavior patterns, and translate these insights into innovative design solutions.
  • Create high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and detailed design specifications that demonstrate a deep understanding of user interface and interaction design principles.
  • Lead and participate in user testing sessions to gather feedback, iterate on designs, and validate product concepts.
  • Establish and maintain design guidelines, standards, and best practices to ensure design consistency and quality across all product touchpoints.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture within the team.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design methodologies to continuously evolve and enhance the product design process.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred but not required: Bachelor's in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in UI/UX design for no-code / low-code platforms, healthcare, and / or the health technology domain.
  • Experience designing features or products with data, integrations, and / or AI at their core.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, or similar software.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and present design solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative design solutions.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously on important, complex, high visibility tracks of work that are critical to the success of the business.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and user needs is a plus.
