As Oracle ERP Functional Lead – Financials, you will be responsible for end‑to‑end functional solution ownership across Oracle Fusion Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM) and cross-functional support for Procurement, Order Management, and Manufacturing.
This role leads functional design, provides SME guidance to business teams, oversees release cycles, supports integrations, and ensures operational excellence across enterprise financial applications.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Functional Leadership – Oracle Fusion Financials
- Lead functional design, solution architecture, and configuration across GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Subledger Accounting (SLA)
- Translate Finance business requirements into scalable Oracle ERP Cloud configurations and functional solutions
- Govern COA structure, financial hierarchies, accounting rules, tax setups, assets policies, and accounting sequences
- Partner with Controllers, FP&A, Treasury, Accounting, and Audit teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and strong financial controls
Cross‑Functional Support – Procurement, OM, Manufacturing
- Provide functional support for :
- Procurement (PO, Self‑Service Procurement, Supplier Portal, Sourcing)
- Order Management (OM) (Order orchestration, pricing, fulfillment)
- Manufacturing (WIP, Work Orders, Costing, Item Structures)
- Ensure seamless process integrations across FinOps, Supply Chain, and RevOps
- Troubleshoot cross‑module issues relating to costing, inventory valuation, tax, procurement accounting, and revenue impacts
Production Support (L2/L3) & Operational Stability
- Lead triage, root‑cause analysis, and resolution for financial and SCM module issues
- Collaborate with Oracle Support (SRs) to address defects, patches, and critical incidents
- Maintain SLA compliance and drive continuous improvements in system stability and accuracy
- Manage reconciliations, data validation, period close activities, cost rollups, and transaction flow monitoring
Release, Change & Quarterly Upgrade Management
- Oversee planning, impact analysis, regression testing, and deployment of ERP releases
- Review Oracle quarterly update features; assess impacts to Financials, Procurement, OM, and Manufacturing
- Lead UAT cycles, documentation, release readiness, and post‑release reviews
- Maintain functional configuration workbooks, BR100s, MD50s, test scripts, SOPs, and process maps
Integrations, Data, and Reporting
- Work with technical teams on integrations using OIC, REST APIs, SOAP services, BIP, OTBI, and custom interfaces
- Validate inbound/outbound integrations with banking systems, procurement networks, CRM, tax engines, and supply chain systems
- Build, enhance, or review financial reports (BIP, OTBI, SmartView, FRC)
- Ensure financial data integrity, accounting accuracy, and proper transaction flow across modules
Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership
- Serve as the primary liaison between Finance, Supply Chain, RevOps, IT Engineering, and vendor teams
- Deliver clear communication: incident summaries, release impact assessments, process changes, and training sessions
- Conduct workshops, blueprinting, design reviews, and knowledge‑transfer sessions with global business stakeholders
Skills & Competencies
Functional Expertise
- Oracle Fusion Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, SLA) – expert‑level
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Procurement (Procurement Cloud, Supplier Portal)
- Order Management (OM Orchestration, Fulfillment)
- Manufacturing & Cost Management
- Deep understanding of O2C, P2P, R2R, Inventory Costing, FP&A processes
Technical Understanding (Functional‑Techno blend)
- Familiarity with OIC, REST/SOAP, BIP, OTBI, FBDI/ADFdi, and integration frameworks
- Ability to review technical solution design, debug accounting issues, analyze logs, and perform data validation.
Finance & Compliance Knowledge
- Accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), subledger processes, internal controls (ICFR/SOX), reconciliation methods.
- Experience supporting audit cycles, financial close processes, tax compliance, and global statutory requirements.
Leadership & Communication
- Strong presentation and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead functional teams, mentor analysts, and manage cross‑departmental initiatives
- Comfortable engaging with executives, auditors, and global business leaders
Experience Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Oracle ERP Cloud Functional roles (Financials required)
- Completed at least two full‑cycle implementation of Oracle Fusion ERP (Financials mandatory)
- Hands‑on support experience in Procurement, OM, and Manufacturing
- Experience working with Oracle and 3rd‑party vendors for issue resolution and solution design
- Strong background in Financial Close cycles, accounting flows, reconciliations, and process improvement
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- Preferred certifications:
- Oracle Cloud Financials Certified
- Oracle Procurement Cloud / SCM Cloud certifications
