The opportunity
We are looking for a Lead Product Analyst to act as the foundational 'Master Practitioner' who will elevate our entire data culture by setting high standards for product analytics excellence. As a hands-on IC mentor, this lead will institutionalize best practices and unified methodologies across the product organization, ensuring that every product analyst has the mentorship and high-quality tooling needed to turn raw data into powerful product stories.
The Lead Product Analyst is a senior-level, hands-on individual contributor within the Client Solutions group, reporting to the Head of Product, Client Solutions. In our organization, Product Managers and Product Analysts operate as a unified team.
This is not a traditional people-management role; rather, it is a role for a "Master Practitioner." You will lead by example, spending a significant portion of your time executing high-impact analytical projects while setting the functional standards for the rest of the organization. You will also act as the primary internal customer for our data infrastructure, ensuring the entire product team has the tools they need to succeed.
What you'll be doing
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Hands-on Analytical Excellence (Lead by Example)
- High-Stakes Execution: Own the most complex analytical tasks within the Client Solutions roadmap, from deep-diving into record-breaking KPI shifts to complex multi-variant testing.
- Visualization & Reporting: Lead the definition of new reporting and create the visualizations and dashboards that enable Product Managers to track their own features and products autonomously.
- Data Storytelling: Set the standard for how data is presented. You will transform raw outcomes into compelling narratives that explain the "why" behind the numbers for stakeholders and global partners.
- Setting the Bar: Use your daily output to demonstrate "what good looks like"—from SQL rigor to the clarity of the final presentation.
- 2. Data Infrastructure Advocacy (The "Internal Customer")
- Stakeholder for Data Engineering: Act as the voice of the product analysts in front of Data PM and the Data Engineering teams.
- Requirements & Tooling: Define the requirements for data pipelines and advocate for best-in-class tools. Your goal is to maximize the efficiency of how the product team interacts with Aura’s data.
- Infrastructure Robustness: Ensure our data ecosystem is reliable and that the "time-to-insight" for the entire team is minimized.
- 3. Functional Mentorship & Matrixed Coaching
- Standard-Setting: Establish unified methodologies for A/B testing and KPI definitions for both the Client and Business Operations pillars.
- Functional Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and peer reviews for the analysts in Product and Business Operations teams.
- The "Analytics Guild": Lead knowledge-sharing sessions to institutionalize a data-driven culture, ensuring all analysts are aligned with global standards.
What we're looking for
- Advanced SQL and data modeling
- Bi-tool architecture and dashboarding
- Statistical Experimentation A/B tes frameworks
- Technical documentation and mentorship standard-setting
- Data storytelling and stakeholder translation
