About the role.
The role is a leading analytics position in the business, shaping insights across one of our two key product departments. You will partner with a Head of Product to ideate and evaluate our product decisions, iterating new ideas into evergreen customer-facing solutions. You will be a technical hands-on IC solving some of the most complex customer and business problems, while also managing a small team. You will be someone who thrives at using complex data and intuition to drive business outcomes, ensuring data is a core driver of company strategy.
Role responsibilities.
- Lead the product insights function for our Share of Wallet product domain, encompassing everything from how customers pay to how they manage their outstanding payments.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights that directly inform product strategy, business operations, and growth initiatives, owning the end-to-end lifecycle from problem framing to implementation and post-implementation value readouts.
- Partner closely with Product, Credit Risk, Marketing, Finance and other stakeholders to prioritise analytics projects that maximise business value.
- Establish robust measurement and experimentation frameworks to quantify impact and inform product and business decisions.
- Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making across the company, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Oversee delivery of high-quality reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics solutions that inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure alignment between analytics initiatives and company strategic priorities, balancing long-term value creation with short-term business needs.
- Mentor and develop analytics talent, promoting collaboration, technical excellence, and innovative thinking.
- Continuously evolve processes, tools, and ways of working to increase efficiency, accuracy, and impact of insights delivered.
- Own company-wide metrics & semantic layer (single source of truth) in partnership with Data Platform; publish versioned metric definitions.
- Ensure operationalisation of insights: define owners, integrate with workflows/dashboards, and track value (e.g., revenue, risk, retention impact of new product launches).
What we're looking for.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and embrace change as an opportunity.
- 6+ years’ experience as a product analyst working in a start/scale-up mentality and 2+ years’ leading a team of product analysts.
- Strong technical foundation in analytics with advanced SQL; solid data-modelling and experimentation know-how, with the ability to engage in detailed technical discussions with data teams.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive measurable business impact.
- Experienced in managing and growing high-performing analytics teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Skilled at defining clear objectives, prioritising initiatives, and aligning resources to business outcomes.
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels, able to “zoom in” on critical insights while maintaining a holistic view.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and present complex findings succinctly.
- Experience with cloud-based analytics, modern data pipelines, and visualisation platforms. Exposure to analytics-engineering practices (e.g. dbt or equivalent, testing CI/CD for analytics).
