The Lead, Process Engineer plays a critical role in driving end‑to‑end process transformations across the organization. This role will lead the discovery, analysis, design, and delivery of optimization solutions, spanning process redesign, simplification, automation, AI, and other digital solutions. The individual will be central in helping businesses unlock new levels of speed and innovation at scale while enhancing employee experience and increasing organizational capacity for strategic work.

As a member of the Automation & Process Engineering team, you will:

Process Discovery & Analysis

  • Lead end‑to‑end process assessments using stakeholder interviews, data analysis, process discovery and pain‑point identification techniques and tools

  • Apply quantitative and qualitative methods to uncover inefficiencies, risks, redundancies, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.

  • Evaluate processes holistically across people, process, technology, and controls

Solution Design & Optimization

  • Recommend fit‑for‑purpose process optimization solutions spanning process redesign & simplification, standardization & control improvements, automation, AI, and other digital and non‑digital efficiency solutions

  • Ensure solutions consider benefits, costs, scalability, sustainability, change impacts, and enterprise-wide alignment.

  • Develop future‑state process designs aligned to organizational goals and rooted in root‑cause analysis

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Automation Delivery between Operation and Business teams, providing guidance on solutions to meet business needs and recommendation for future enhancements

Technology & Digital Enablement

  • Lead automation delivery projects from discovery to define to solution to Production.

  • Drive automation and the adoption of next-generation technologies for Intelligent Automation (e.g., integrating RPA with machine learning, Process Mining, AI, natural language processing, Chatbots)

  • Assess the feasibility of automation, AI, and other digital tools and recommend fit-for-purpose digital solutions

  • Stay current on emerging technologies such as RPA, AI/ML, NLP, chatbots, process mining, etc. and demonstrate digital “art of the possible” to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate closely solution delivery teams to define requirements and solution design.

Change Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate ideation and process redesign design workshops

  • Lead change management activities and enablement including creating process change communications, Process Design Documents (PDD), Solution Design Documents (SDD), and support handover materials

  • Engage senior stakeholders with clear insights, recommendations, risks, and decision options.

Project Delivery & Governance

  • Manage simultaneous improvement initiatives with clear timelines, milestones, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Ensure project outcomes are measurable and aligned to operational and strategic objectives.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A University/College Degree with a focus in management, operations, or equivalent practical experience

  • 3+ years hands on experience with Lean Six Sigma driven process optimization and Robotic Process Automation leveraging Robotic Process technologies such as UiPath, Power Platform etc.

  • 5+ years of project delivery experience with an ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities under tight deadlines with multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to both dive into details and take a step back to understand connection to larger picture

  • Experience in workshop facilitation, stakeholder engagement and leading working sessions

  • Excellent communications skills, independent thinker and resilient during project challenges

  • Excellent presentation skills to drive conversations with stakeholders at a senior level

  • Take initiative, be the driver (rather than being driven) to resolve issues and risks

  • Ability to work with highly detailed and ambiguous information, make recommendations and communicate outcomes to sponsors and stakeholders clearly and concisely

  • Hands on experience with Azure DevOps, Asana, MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and other project management tools

  • Have a solid understanding of project/change delivery concepts from initiation to closure in agile, hybrid and waterfall delivery modalities

  • Conceptual problem solver with strong analytical skills, including the ability to research and analyze complex issues and develop insightful solutions while considering risks, and stakeholder’s views

  • Track record of being able to deliver results with multiple time-sensitive deadlines

This posting is for an existing vacancy.
The expected salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year.

You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
