As a Lead Software Engineer on/in PGS Investment Accounting Technology, you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to design, develop and maintain Power Platform, Dataverse, Power BI.  You will code, test and debug new and existing applications as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to technical expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

This role is based in our office in Tampa, FL. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. This position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring weekly basis at least 3 days per week.

What You Can Expect:

  • Develop strategic and tactical solutions for complex business challenges promptly, ensuring code follows latest coding practices and industry standards.
  • Engage in development using technologies such as Power Platform, Dataverse, PowerBI, Jira, Excel, SQL, Python, Oracle, SQL Server, Bit Bucket, and programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Analyze system requirements of existing solutions to modernize the tech stack and remove technical impediments.
  • Collaborate with product owners to understand needs and define feature stories, tech leads in defining technical design, and other team members to deliver robust solutions with significant business impact.
  • Write unit, integration tests, and functional automation, addressing problems discovered by quality assurance or product support.
  • Design automated testing to ensure system functionality aligns with scalable business requirements.
  • Design and develop custom solutions for system changes, including full stack applications.
  • Lead large cross-functional projects supporting company initiatives and mentor junior staff.
  • Prepare communications and presentations on system solutions and enhancements.
  • Take ownership of production issues, analyzing and collaborating with relevant areas for resolution.
  • Bring a strong understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, provide input, coach team members, and embed learning and innovation.

Skills & Expertise You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience. Preferred majors include Management Information Systems, Business Analytics and Information Technology, Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, Economics.
  • Essential full stack development experience.
    • Power Platform, Dataverse, PowerBI,Oracle,SQL Server
    • with Cognos, .NET, Java, Python, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL, Cloud native development, Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, Connectors, and related tools is preferred.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and familiarity with the Software Development Life-Cycle.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $125,000 to $155,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
