WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role sits within the Jordan Assortment Planning function and is highly collaborative. You will work cross‑functionally with Merchandising, Marketplace, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Business Planning, and Inventory Management teams across North America, while partnering closely with Global counterparts to align seasonal strategies, financial targets, and marketplace execution.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a strategic, detail‑oriented Lead Assortment Planner who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about delivering consumer‑right assortments for Jordan Brand. This individual brings strong retail and assortment planning expertise, advanced analytical capabilities, and operational excellence. You can build clear hypotheses, translate data and qualitative insights into action, and influence cross‑functional partners through strong storytelling and judgment. You have a deep understanding of consumer demand, marketplace dynamics, product, and inventory planning, and you proactively build trusted relationships both upstream and downstream. You are comfortable owning seasonal processes end‑to‑end for the Jordan NA Retro & AJ1 franchises while balancing financial targets, marketplace strategies, and operational rigor.
Key Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in business, merchandise, assortment, or retail planning (or equivalent experience), aligned to Lead‑level planning roles
• Demonstrated ownership of complex seasonal planning processes with influence across cross‑functional and Global/Marketplace partners
• Strong command of retail and financial metrics (Sales, Revenue, Margin, ST%, WOS, Inventory – marketplace & direct channels)
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling); experience with planning tools such as o9 or SAP preferred
• Proven ability to influence senior cross‑functional partners through clear storytelling, judgment, and data‑driven recommendations
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will drive the creation and execution of seasonal Jordan assortments that balance consumer demand, financial targets, and marketplace strategies. You build and manage seasonal assortment and forecast plans, own critical planning tools and processes, and deliver clear insights that inform decisions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and manage seasonal assortment plans aligned to financial targets, consumer insights, and marketplace strategies
• Develop bottom‑up forecasts and inventory plans to optimize revenue, margin, and inventory health across the NA marketplace
• Set and reconcile top‑down and bottom‑up plans across key financial dimensions, clearly communicating trade‑offs and decision impacts
• Own seasonal planning tools and operational deliverables, ensuring accuracy and on‑time submissions for code gates and activation milestones
• Monitor performance, assess risk and opportunity, and deliver actionable insights using Excel and analytical planning tools
• Partner closely with Merchandising, Marketplace, Finance, Sales, and Global/Marketplace teams to align on seasonal priorities and adjustments
• Support seasonal readouts and recaps, with clear, data‑driven storytelling
