Job Scope
Follows direction set by the Facility Manager. Supervise and oversee non-ferrous yard operations, and personnel to ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists with material purchasing, sorting, processing and shipping.
- Assists with coordinating production schedules.
- Supervises quality control of inbound/outbound material. Responds to quality issues with customers.
- Proactively checks with equipment operators to ensure all equipment is running properly. May call external vendors or provide maintenance as necessary.
- Prepares daily production reports; orders for the day, material to ship.
- May operate yard equipment as needed (baler, forklift, loader, etc).
- Follows company guidelines regarding safety; as supervisor, enforces safe work environment policies and guidelines for employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Education/Experience:
At least 2-4 years experience in the industry or related industry to include lead or supervisory experience. Excellent open communication style to carry out ongoing dialogues in a way that creates trust and confidence within all levels of the company. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.

Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of cashier experience in a retail environment
- 1-3 years of experience as an office or clerical assistant
- Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact courteously with customers and employees
- General knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materials
- General knowledge of car parts
