The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in tools such as Ebase, AutoCAD, and EPLAN, and will be capable of taking strategic decisions related to tool implementation, new ideas, and solution standardization. This role will also be responsible for guiding teams to follow defined processes and best practices.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert for engineering tools including Ebase, AutoCAD, and EPLAN
  • Evaluate current tool usage and identify opportunities for improvement, optimization, and standardization
  • Take strategic decisions on implementing new ideas, tool enhancements, and system improvements
  • Key global user for the GA business, managing supplier tools and serving as the primary point of contact for escalation management with tool suppliers.
  • Develop and standardize engineering solutions, templates, libraries, workflows, and tool configurations
  • Lead initiatives for tool harmonization and process standardization across engineering teams
  • Ensure tools are aligned with business needs, engineering standards, and operational goals
  • Support deployment, integration, database management and maintenance of engineering tools and related systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including engineering, project teams, and management
  • Drive adoption of standardized processes and ensure teams comply with defined workflows and best practices
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to team members on tool usage and process adherence
  • Lead the team in following established engineering processes and continuously improving them
  • Troubleshoot tool-related issues and provide effective resolution or escalation where needed
  • Participate in planning for future tool roadmap, upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 7+ yrs of experience, or Diploma Degree with 12+ yrs of experience in Panel design / Engineering
  • Proven experience working with engineering tools such as Ebase, AutoCAD, and EPLAN
  • Strong understanding of engineering workflows, tool configurations, and design standardization
  • Experience in driving process compliancetool governance, and solution standardization
  • Ability to evaluate new concepts and make sound strategic recommendations for implementation
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in guiding or leading engineering teams
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in engineering digitalization or tool transformation projects
  • Knowledge of integration between engineering tools and enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with engineering data management, libraries, templates, and automation concepts
  • Experience in creating SOPs, standards, and process documentation
  • Project management or team leadership experience
