The Ophthalmology Lead is responsible for coordinating and supporting the daily operations of the department to ensure exceptional patient care, effective staffing (coordinating lunches, ALC, etc.), and efficient workflows. This position serves as the primary day to day resource for ophthalmology staff, providing guidance, training, and support while promoting a positive patient experience. This role works collaboratively with 20/20 optical, optometry providers, and clinic staff to ensure timely, high-quality patient care.
The lead work collaboratively with the Nurse Supervisor, ophthalmology and optometry providers, 20/20 Optical, clinic leadership, and other clinic staff to promote safe, timely, high-quality patient care. The lead identifies operational barriers, supports resolution of day-to-day issues, and escalates concerns to the appropriate leader when needed.
This position serves as a working lead and does not replace the responsibilities of the Nurse Supervisor or other designated clinic leadership.
Compensation:
Hourly Wage Range: $20.86 - $26.72/hour Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.
Hours/Shifts:
64 Hours Biweekly, Day Shifts, Monday to Friday.

- Education/Special Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience as an eye technician that performs the following tests: autorefraction, dilation, preliminary refraction, OCT scans, and Visual Field testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, providers, and staff.
- Proficient computer and typing skills, including electronic health records.
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance, training, and support to other staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing operational needs in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, providers, staff, and leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to identify workflow issues and participate in developing and implementing solutions.
- Proficient computer and typing skills, including use of electronic health records and applicable ophthalmology equipment/software.
- Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
- Must be able to report to the worksite as scheduled.
