We're Hiring: Lead – LPNs and/or RNs

Full-Time Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm No Weekends

Duties and Responsibilities

Patient Care

  • Adheres to infection control policies and standards.
  • Takes medical histories.
  • Documents social, medical, family, and surgical history in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Explains treatment procedures to patients.
  • Prepares patients for examinations.
  • Takes vital signs and performs basic patient procedures.
  • Provides patient with patient education when needed or directed by physician.
  • Prepares and administering medications, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant).
  • Performs wound care and dressing changes.
  • Transmits prescription refills as ordered by physician.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.

Professional and Administrative Functions

  • Serving as service line lead of clinical team and providing general guidance of clinical daily operations
  • Provides leadership in clinical practice and acts as a resource and role model for clinical practice.
  • Assists in the onboarding and education of new staff members.
  • Ensures fluid and timely communication with service line clinical manager for any immediate needs or concerns
  • Assists Clinic Manager in monitoring, evaluating, and correcting staff performance relating to care/clinical practice.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Undertakes any other reasonable duties which may be assigned by the Clinical Manager.
  • Provides organization and leadership for regular team meetings.
  • Maintains Florida Licenses and Certifications as required.
  • Annual CPR, OSHA, HIPPA training/certifications.
  • Attends required meetings and participated in committees as requested.
  • Participates in continuing education programs.

Education

  • LPN Licensed Practical Nurse -- Completion of an accredited LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Program or
  • RN Registered Nurse required nursing degree from an accredited program.

Work Experience

  • One to three years of similar or related experience.

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of medial issues and terminology.
  • Knowledge of the best practices for running a clinic
  • Knowledge of diagnosing and treating routine illnesses.
  • Knowledge of drug therapy benefits and side effects.
  • Understanding clinic policies, safety precautions, infection control, and established medical procedures.

Licenses and Certifications

  • CMA, RMA, LPN or RN
  • Current State License.
  • Annual CPR, OSHA, HIPPA training/certifications.
  • Other certifications as required.

Skills/Abilities

  • Patient care skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Staffing and supervision
  • Good interpersonal and public relations skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.Physical Requirements
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, grasping, carrying and speaking; Occasional reaching, bending and stooping; Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, with assistance if needed; May need to lift or turn patients who are disabled, with assistance if needed; Frequent use of computer, keyboard, copy and fax machine and phone.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (customers or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to unfavorable environments such as body fluids. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, coats, gowns, boots, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Skills Required
