As a Motion Design Lead, you will partner with Design Directors to create a large variety of content and experiences. You not only lead projects, you participate in a hands-on manner to create them. You will have the opportunity to work on large and small-scale projects — from concept to completion. You are an expert at motion graphics, but are looking to expand upon the medium in other ways. You are excited to work with developers to explore creative solutions for integrating motion into products. You are always pushing to make the best work, whether it be creating a branded UI motion system, finessing the perfect transition, or exploring the best way to visualize a narrative. You are not scared to try out new technologies and approaches pushing the creative beyond what is asked.
What You Will Do
- Work on a wide variety of projects, bridging the gap between design and engineering to craft functional and beautiful interactive, animations that enhance the digital products we build
- Work iteratively on initial concepts and prototypes with product and motion teams
- Bring an attention to detail and care for design execution, from concept through delivery all while wearing multiple hats
- Participate in a collaborative, hands-on manner through all project phases
- Partner with developers to integrate motion into product builds
- Collaborate and define processes for animators at Work & Co
- Advocate for motion team throughout the company
We Are Looking For
- Proven ability to propose creative concepts and to deliver on those ideas through every production phase
- Impeccable execution and care for all aspects of design, from conceptual thinking to motion and visual design
- Interest in motion beyond marketing
- Comfort and confidence in collaborating closely with departments who may be unfamiliar with the motion process, such as product designers, product managers and engineers
- Enjoys mentoring and educating other disciplines on the fundamentals of motion
- Experience working alongside design teams creating UI motion in 5+ products that have launched
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize and present findings, and articulate design rationale
- Experience working in a highly iterative, collaborative environment where people share work daily
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

The base pay for the Design Lead role is between $120,000 and $160,000. The actual annual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, knowledge, skills, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Along with competitive pay, full-time employees are eligible for full benefits.
