Job Description:
What You'll Do

• SME responsible for development of predictive models to provide modeling solutions to Discover businesses.
• Design and develop models utilizing Machine learning and other algorithms.
• Presents the results of mathematical modeling and data analysis to management or other end users.
• Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

How You'll Do It

• Research and leverage state-of-the-art modeling techniques; participate in modeling innovation.
• Leverage extensive, deep technical knowledge and leadership skills to drive the development of data-science solutions, and implement data-driven recommendations and outcomes.
• Maintain a high level of competency in statistical and analytical principles, tools and techniques, and support the advancement of the "best-in-class" analytical capabilities to unlock new capabilities and performance, and quickly adapt to modern modeling techniques.
• Presents modeling and data analysis to management and other business partners.

Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

• Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering, Economics, Analytics.
• 4+ years of experience Developing data-based analytical solutions or related

Bonus Points If You Have

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering, Economics, or related quantitative field
• 6+ years of experience in financial service industry and mmodeling developing data-based analytical solutions, financial service industry, modeling, or related field

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $131,000.00 to $183,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
