Lead Mobile Software Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on technical leader to define mobile architecture, build modern full-stack commerce capabilities, and turn emerging technologies into measurable customer and business value. 

This role combines Lead Mobile Architect, Senior Full-Stack Engineer, and Innovation Lead responsibilities. You will guide engineers, make pragmatic architecture decisions, write production code, and partner with product, design, security, platform, and enterprise teams. You will balance mobile-specific excellence with reusable, API-first services that power experiences across channels. 

JOB DUTIES:
 

• Define and own the mobile architecture and technical roadmap for our iOS and Android apps, built with React Native and TypeScript
• Build fast, reliable, secure, and accessible mobile experiences
• Own the mobile release process, from CI/CD to App Store and Google Play delivery
• Design and build backend services and APIs that power both mobile and web commerce
• Integrate with key business systems such as ERP, product data, search, and payments, primarily on Azure
• Prototype and evaluate new ideas, including AI-powered shopping and customer support features, and take the best ones to production
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and shared technical standards
• Communicate technical decisions and risks clearly to both technical and business stakeholders

YOU MUST HAVE:
 

• 8+ years in software engineering, with strong mobile experience and at least 2 years leading technical initiatives or teams
• Deep hands-on experience with React Native and TypeScript, including iOS and Android releases
• Backend experience with .NET/C# or Node.js, plus cloud experience (Azure preferred)
• Experience with eCommerce, AI/LLM features, or native Swift/Kotlin is a strong plus

WE VALUE:
 

• Experience with .NET, MS SQL, Azure services, containers/Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, API gateways or enterprise API management (e.g., Apigee)
• Familiarity with composable/headless commerce, ERP/PIM/CMS integrations, BigCommerce or similar platforms, and complex omnichannel commerce workflows
• Experience with native Swift/Kotlin, React Native New Architecture, Expo where appropriate, Firebase, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, and mobile experimentation
• Practical delivery of AI-enabled product features, LLM integration, retrieval-augmented generation, tool-using agents, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI safeguards
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility, mobile accessibility testing, privacy regulations, payments-related security boundaries, and software supply-chain controls
• Experience scaling distributed engineering teams, setting engineering standards, and balancing innovation with operational stability. 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
