Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead Mechanical engineer is responsible to independently take care of Solar & Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects execution which involves design, detailed engineering, EPC, layout preparation, mechanical/manufacturing drawing, thermal and structural architecture & analysis, component selection, Root cause analysis.
- Experience in working with Inverters, Transformer, RMU, Substation, BOP equipment’s, MLV/MV drives for large scale industrial projects/Solar & BESS projects/Renewable projects/Power projects.
- Experience in CAD tools, 2D & 3D modelling tools, GT&D.
- Oversee the progress of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, specifications, and presentations for project reviews, client meetings, and regulatory submissions.
- Expertise in new conceptualization, layout and equipment design/optimization with required technical specification, heavy lifting procedures and material handling requirements.
- Coordinate with sourcing and the project team on technical matters to meet project specifications, cost control objectives, and schedule objectives. Accountable for team results to deliver a high-quality product to customer requirements on time and on or under budget.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure client satisfaction.
Required Qualification & Experience
- Bachelors/Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/CAD design Preferred)
- Min 10+ year experience in Mechanical Design/Development/Project execution for large scale industrial projects/Solar & BESS projects/Renewable projects/Power projects.
- Experience with TC/ PLM is preferable
- Exposure to Manufacturing process & Quality standards.
- Experience in global project execution and various countries requirements, international standards IEC/UL & compliances.
- Experience in working cross-functionally between Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Product Management, etc.
