Strategic Fiber Partner Management & Contract Governance

Overall Purpose:

Support AT&T's Strategic Fiber organization by serving as the primary liaison between AT&T and strategic fiber partners. Responsible for vendor relationship management, contractual governance, operational readiness, performance accountability, and financial compliance across strategic fiber partnerships. This role works closely with senior leaders within AT&T and external partner organizations to ensure contractual obligations are met, business objectives are achieved, risks are mitigated, and operational execution aligns with established performance standards and governance frameworks.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for strategic fiber partners, fostering strong working relationships and facilitating effective collaboration between organizations.
  • Partner with senior leaders from external fiber providers to address operational challenges, align priorities, and drive business outcomes.
  • Lead recurring business reviews, governance forums, and performance discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of partner business models, operational drivers, and strategic objectives to improve partnership effectiveness.

Contractual Governance & Compliance

  • Interpret, manage, and oversee contractual obligations between AT&T and strategic fiber partners.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, business rules, service commitments, and governance processes.
  • Identify contractual risks, gaps, and compliance concerns while partnering with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to develop resolution plans.
  • Support contract implementation, amendments, and operationalization of new contractual requirements.

Performance Management & Accountability

  • Monitor partner adherence to contractual KPIs, service levels, and operational commitments.
  • Facilitate performance reviews and corrective action plans when contractual expectations are not met.
  • Drive accountability for operational, commercial, and customer experience outcomes through established governance processes.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify and implement opportunities for improved performance and operational efficiency.

Financial Governance & Billing Management

  • Oversee financial governance activities related to strategic fiber partnerships, including billing validation, credits, penalties, discounts, and contractual adjustments.
  • Partner with Finance and external providers to resolve billing disputes, discrepancies, and remediation activities.
  • Ensure accurate application of contractual financial terms and support financial reconciliation processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial controls, improve billing accuracy, and reduce revenue leakage.

Operational Readiness & Market Execution

  • Support geographic expansion initiatives, operational readiness planning, and market launch activities in partnership with external providers.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure successful execution of strategic fiber initiatives and partner commitments.
  • Evaluate operational impacts associated with partner activities and recommend actions to improve execution.
  • Escalate and resolve risks impacting customer experience, growth objectives, or contractual performance.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Enterprise Coordination

  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Operations, Product, Marketing, Corporate Development, Regulatory Affairs, and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
  • Lead coordination efforts across multiple organizations to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and business objectives.
  • Represent Strategic Fiber interests during enterprise initiatives and partner governance discussions.
  • Support special projects related to new partnerships, contract implementation, strategic business initiatives, and organizational priorities.

Recognized as an expert in business analytics, performance management, and executive reporting. Applies advanced analytical expertise and business acumen to solve complex business challenges, develop actionable insights, and influence strategic decisions. Leads high-impact analytical initiatives with significant autonomy and serves as a trusted advisor to AT&T leadership and senior executives from Strategic Fiber partners. Establishes reporting frameworks, performance measurement methodologies, and governance practices that enhance organizational visibility, accountability, and operational effectiveness. May provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members while driving initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.

Our Lead Market Development jobs earn between $143,800.00 - $215,800.00 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.

Salary Range:
