Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead efforts and strategies to support supply chain and Policy Deployment.
- Project Management
- Substantiation Planning
- Coordination / Communications with leadership team
- Ensure that capacity planning and readiness initiatives align with the broader organizational strategy and business goals
- Provides the Site Leaders strategies that support and align with the business growth objectives.
- Capacity – Footprint, people, and skill requirements
- Capital investments and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL)
- Identify growth-related budgetary needs.
- Work in coordination with shops on program / part family transitions to sister plants and 3rd party vendors.
- Work closely with Lean Leaders to design material and process flow on growth programs.
- Establish a reporting status rhythm on strategic and growth programs to the leadership team.
- Provide strategy for overall production line start-up and they transfer between sites and vendors.
- Support customer visits/call and travel to sites and suppliers as needed, relative to manufacturing strategy and growth programs.
- Project Management
- Utilizing FLIGHT DECK lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in production processes.
- Provide leadership and execute on cost competitiveness initiatives.
- Conduct Make/Buy analysis utilizing created and/or provided tools
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma/GED and 7 years of experience in a process improvement, project management, technical management and/or leadership position.)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a process improvement, project management, technical management and/or leadership position.
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
- Project Management Principles (PMP) Certification
- Additional leadership experience in the areas of Business Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Quality is preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or equivalent Quality Certification.
- Appropriate skills for senior leadership (VP, Sr. Director, Director) presentations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of product and processes related to ignition systems, sensors, harnesses, power generation, starters, space ignitions, heat exchangers and/or defense industry regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for meeting customer/business needs.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence results at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Ability to document, plan, market and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
