About the Role:At Critical Loop, we’re on a mission to make power more accessible and efficient. We’re expanding our production operations to increase capacity while still meeting regulatory compliance. We’re recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to lead the organization of the production line and development of the production quality management system. This is a chance to help a growing company create the future of grid-scale battery storage while leveraging the latest automation tools that can minimize time-to-market.
Responsibilities:Develops manufacturing processes for new product introduction
Works hands-on on the factory floor, to implement processes and resolve production issues
Leads the optimization of manufacturing processes to keep overhead low and reduce production timelines
Owns the development, certification, and maintenance of the Quality Management System, lead author for new quality system documentation
Plans and coordinates audits for ISO9001 and UL factory certification
Contributes to new product development by providing certification and compliance methods
Minimum 5 years with manufacturing operations in an ISO-certified quality management system
Experience with multiple ISO9001 audits, specifically in planning internal audits and participating in external audits
Strong skills in collaboration tools (Confluence, Jira) and developing automated workflows
Manufacturing experience with high-power electrical components and machinery, such as power electronics, battery systems, industrial equipment, automated controls
BS in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or similar engineering
Experience in a management or leadership role, making hiring and staffing decisions
Knowledge of UL 9540, NFPA, NEC, and other Battery Energy Storage requirements
Strong understanding of ISO, TUV, and UL certification and auditing practices
