We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Lead Low Latency Electronic Trading Engineer to evaluate, design, and implement solutions in support of the global Morgan Stanley for low latency, high speed trading plant.

This is a Networking and Infrastructure engineering position at VP level, which is part of the job family responsible for managing and optimizing technical infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems to support business needs effectively.

The candidate will be part of a team that will Working with the latest technologies across the entirety of financial products and leveraging industry knowledge and technical trends, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer requirements for low latency, high performance computing, security and efficient execution across complex routing are achieved.
What will you be doing?

  • You will be part of the team that Builds/ Deployment, managing, monitoring, and maintaining the global Morgan Stanley Low Latency Trade Plant Network across multiple regions.

  • You will be installing, configuring, and performing daily maintenance of the devices that are in production across multiple business units.

  • You will be interacting with the vendor for all hardware failure and RMA processing that will be required.

  • You will be gathering KPI and metric requirements from Business Unit customers, then delivering the appropriate solution within the tools to those clients

What we're looking for:

  • A candidate who has an excellent knowledge of data networking principles as well as a high level of skill operating various network management systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Low latency network and systems engineering, deployment and operations experience achieved in Market Data provider, Prop Trading and Exchange (connectivity) environments.

  • Someone who has expert level abilities in configuration and management of Low Latency Network Routers and Switches.

  • A candidate who has a strong ability to decode packet captures to help identify network and application issues.

  • It is a very desirable to have the ability to write scripts to manage aspects of the NMS platforms as well as create automated reports and metrics.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

  • A desire to learn and adapt to new technology will be beneficial as this is a very dynamic space.

  • Ability to prioritize along with good time management skills is required.

  • This role is a member of a globally diverse team so you will need to be an effective communicator.
