WaterBridge is hiring a Lead Logistics Controller for our Houston, TX location. The Lead Logistics Controller oversees daily dispatch operations for company and contracted drivers, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of oil hauling and field services. This role leads and supports logistics controllers, manages scheduling and real-time operations, and serves as the primary point of contact for issue resolution and emergency response. The position also leverages data and analytics to monitor performance, develop KPIs, and drive continuous improvement in dispatch processes and workflows. Acting as a bridge between field operations and corporate teams, this role ensures clear communication, operational alignment, and high service quality.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The following represents most of the position's duties but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as corporate policies.
Assigning work, scheduling shifts, evaluating performance, and providing guidance to dispatchers/Controllers. Oversee all daily jobs are scheduled and completed to the customers’ satisfaction. Will be the main point of contact for all logistics controllers
Participating in the selection, training, and development of dispatch/Controller personnel, including identifying training needs, and making recommendations
Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, maintaining accurate records, and managing dispatch equipment
Coordinating emergency situations, prioritizing dispatch needs, and maintaining communication with field units. Ability to quickly respond to urgent requests and execute with efficiency
Resolving day-to-day issues, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and handling complaints. Ability to interface with hauling companies to resolve logistical issues
Maintaining effective communication with dispatchers/Controllers, other departments, and external stakeholders. Ability to understand and work with the operations personnel in the field
Contributing to the development, implementation, and updating of dispatch policies and procedures. Must be able to drive the build out of the logistics Console. Will be responsible for all implementations and improvements to the process. Looking for someone who understands the broader picture and can take the program to the next level
Promoting safe work practices and procedures within the dispatch center
Requirements & Qualifications:
- No degree required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of Logistics experience; 1+ years analytical experience; Oil & Gas preferred.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI/Spotfire reporting skills are essential.
- Strong organizational skills and customer service experience is desired.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to complete tasks in a team atmosphere or alone with little to no supervision.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and prioritize appropriately.
- Ability to analyze information, situations, problems, policies and procedures to formulate logical and effective decisions or solve problems
- Strong cross-functional communication and influence skills
