Who will you be working with?
Operation & Technology (O&T) team is a diverse team covering Services initiatives related to Wabtec’s locomotives. The team interacts with both Wabtec’s remanufacturing shops as well as customer service shops (CSCs), worldwide. This specific role interacts with Wabtec’s Propulsion equipment remanufacturing sites and customer accounts, collaborating with engineering, Supply Chain operations, quality and reliability.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Operations & Technology (O&T) Propulsion group, you will be responsible for identifying and executing life cycle cost (LCC) reduction projects for the Global Services Organization (GSO). In this role, you will influence cross-functional teams, drive innovative cost projects, and be accountable for short and long-term results of a multi-million-dollar project portfolio. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving the adoption of emerging technologies in Wabtec’s remanufacturing sites leveraging automation, advanced repair techniques, non-destructive testing, and machine vision.
What will your typical day look like?
- Support projects through the scoping, active, and cut-in phases to successful project implementation
- Support a cross-functional team from Services, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Risk, and external suppliers to meet all project execution milestones (Such as tollgates, design reviews, and part creation)
- Prepare detailed project plans, while driving internal execution to meet project targets
- Facilitate communication across a global team, as needed, to achieve milestones and professionally manage communications with internal / external project stakeholders
- Continuously developing a network of resources in support of project execution
- Help develop Multi-Generational Project Plan (MGPP) and out-year strategy
- Identify and implement emerging technologies such as automation, machine vision, non-destructive testing, etc.
- Professionally represent Wabtec during all customer and supplier interactions

QualificationsWhat do we want to know about you?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Engineering or Project Management role
- Experience with next generation automation tools (i.e. vision inspection systems or automation equipment), or other emerging technologies
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and work across the matrix organization and project manage issues to resolution
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time, both domestic and internationally
- English Fluency
