We are hiring two (2) Leads with Java Fullstack development experience to work on an Insurance project in Tokyo.
Responsibilities:
- Design scalable microservices, manage system integrations, and optimize
database schemas
- Develop modular user interfaces and build high-performance, secure
backend APIs and frontend applications
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior
developers
- Backend Development: Build secure business logic and
microservices using Java and frameworks like Spring Boot.
- Frontend Development: Design responsive user interfaces
with Angular or React.
- API Integration: Develop and expose robust RESTful APIs
or GraphQL endpoints to bridge the frontend and backend.
- Database Management: Design schemas, write optimized
queries, and manage data via relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL
options (MongoDB).
- Deployment & DevOps: Containerize applications
using Docker and support CI/CD deployment pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS,
Azure).
- Quality Assurance: Write unit and integration tests
(JUnit, Jest) and participate in peer code reviews.
- Should have worked in Agile lifecycle and have good
understanding on how Scrum teams operate
- Collaboratively work with cross functional teams
Requirements
- 10+ years of work experience out of which at least 2-3 years of experience as a Lead managing/mentoring a team of junior developers
- Good hands-on knowledge of Java (JDK 8/11/17+),
JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Knowledge of Core Java, Spring MVC, Java Spring Boot, API Microservices, Python
- Experience in Angular or React.js
- Working knowledge of Database – MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle,
SQL Server
- Working experience in GitHub, Tomcat and Maven
- Experience with AWS Services: S3, ECS, RDS
- Exposure and participation in Agile / Scrum environment
- Japanese language preferred,

Skills Required
- 10+ years of professional work experience
- 2–3 years of experience as a lead managing or mentoring junior developers
- Hands-on knowledge of Java, including JDK 8, 11, or 17+
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Knowledge of Core Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, API microservices, and Python
- Experience with Angular or React.js
- Working knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
