The OnSite Instructional Design Trainer will collaborate with members of Field Operations, Organizational Enablement, and Business Practice Solutions as well as other business units within Stryker to facilitate the planning and implementation of new hire training, curriculum development, continuing education, training strategy, and quality strategy within OnSite.

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of new hire training curriculum and onboarding assistance for OnSite Specialists
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, execution, and continuous improvement of the quality strategy for all OnSite employees working in customer accounts
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to OnSite Specialist Trainers and Quality Assurance Trainers
  • Develop and implement continuing education opportunities for all members of OnSite
  • Drive continuous improvement through collaboration with other Stryker divisional and business unit training personnel to share training material and best practices
  • Maintain overall in-depth knowledge of products and equipment manufactured by Stryker, with strong emphasis on Endoscopy
  • Conduct daily Stryker Learning Management System updates for all members of OnSite
  • Optimize training program for new hires to increase performance and engagement
  • Develop instructional strategies, course materials and assessment techniques using a variety of multimedia and E-learning programs
  • Develop and track clear metrics and feedback forms to assess student and trainer performance
  • Remain current on developments in training and instructional methodologies including technology enhancements and attend periodic seminars and meetings to ensure currency of education
  • Support the onboarding, development, and successful integration of Grade 9 Trainers by providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance on training delivery, curriculum and execution
  • Update training modules and assessments to remain current with new equipment, manufacturer’s recommendations, and industry best practices and standards.
  • Maintain OnSite Specialist and Trainer Resource Guidebooks
  • Ensure training and quality teams adhere to manufacturer’s recommendations as well as AAMI, IAHCSMM, AORN and Joint Commission standards
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders and SME’s when designing new training modules/assessments and/or continuing education
  • Act as a SME to navigate the most current standards (AAMI, HSPA/IAHCSMM, AORN, Joint Commission) to best support Quality Assurance Trainers, OnSite Specialist Trainers, and Field Operations employees
  • Collaborate with marketing, legal, regulatory, and quality teams to get Agile approval for training material used in the field
  • Seek out product training material developed in the field, then research, rebrand, revise and route through Agile as Quick Start Guides
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to develop training for products supported by OnSite in the operating room or sterile processing department of customer accounts
  • Adhere to Stryker’s Branding Guidelines for both internal and external customer documentation/collateral
  • Maintain certifications acquired through HSPA/IAHCSMM
  • Conduct daily Stryker Learning Management System updates for all members of OnSite
  • Report on training and quality metrics

  • Possess Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through HSPA.
  • Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) through HSPA preferred.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
  • Certified Technical Teacher (CTT) preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Knowledge of Total Endoscopy systems, including Oracle, Agile and SLMS
  • Excellent presentation and teaching skills in both group environments and one-on-one

  • Extensive knowledge of Stryker Endoscopy products

  • Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, product appearance, etc.)
