About the Role: Carefeed is looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain the systems that support our software products. You’ll lead the design and implementation of our cloud infrastructure, build tools to enhance the productivity of our development teams, and guide the growth of our infrastructure and tooling practice. This role is ideal for engineers with experience in both product development and infrastructure who are eager to lead technical direction and collaborate closely with peers on an impactful infrastructure team. We aim to build our infrastructure and developer tooling team around this hire. 

Responsibilities: 

• Build and operate the cloud infrastructure that supports our products, with an eye towards simplicity, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. 
• Build and maintain a CI/CD pipeline that is easy for product developers to use and accelerates the release of new software. 
• Drive the adoption and standardization of operational tools across our engineering team, such as shared logging, alerting and observability tooling. 
• Respond to production incidents, contribute to blameless postmortems, and continuously improve system reliability. 
• Collaborate across engineering, product and business operations teams as an infrastructure expert. 

Qualifications: 

• You have 6+ years in infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles, especially in production environments, or equivalent experience as a backend engineer. 
• You care deeply about developer tooling and are excited about the opportunity to make Carefeed’s engineering team more efficient and effective. 
• You know your way around AWS. Our production systems run on ECS and Aurora, and we plan to continue using AWS for most cloud needs. 
• You are fluent in Terraform and have experience with CI/CD systems. 
• You’re comfortable working independently and enjoy owning complex problems from start to finish. 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
