Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Cisco Network

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the CORPORATE SECTOR - NETWORK platform, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.
Job responsibilities

• Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
• Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
• Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
• Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
• Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on technical and network design concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Minimum 5 years of Cisco network experience within the financial sector
• Proven years of experience in network products and services, working with Cisco routers and switches, Firewalls, proxies and load balancing technologies while actively pursuing further accreditations
• Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols, Expertise spanning TCPIP, LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, IPSec, EIGRP and OSPF is vital.
• Deep understanding of BGP and associated routing policies, Knowledge of multicast concepts, including IGMP, RP, and PIM
• Excellent knowledge of network Packet analysis and Packet Capture tools
• Working knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, and related technologies
• Understanding multi cloud environments and possessing knowledge of network security, including standard processes
• Familiarity with load balancing technologies, TCP/IP and multicast
• Proficiency in required Service Management processes with ITIL knowledge
• Proficiency in Python and Ansible.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
• CCNP/CCIE certification, is highly desirable.
• Exposure to the financial sector and its associated technologies
