Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions for complex infrastructure automation challenges that align with platform standards and business priorities
- Translate technical requirements, platform architecture, operational needs, and customer feedback into practical engineering solutions and implementation plans. Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure
- Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third-party vendors. Partner with senior engineers and leadership to implement technical direction, improve platform capabilities, and deliver high-quality business solutions
- Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals. Apply industry best practices and emerging technologies to strengthen platform stability, automation effectiveness, and operational efficiency
- Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements. Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, product owners, vendors, and customer teams to resolve issues, support platform adoption, and promote sound engineering practices
- Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
- Interact with customer and vendor partners, get feedback on delivery and implement feedback on the product. Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
- 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience designing, operating, and optimizing large-scale distributed production systems for high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance using Ansible Automation platform.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Ansible Automation platform. Experience in AAP should be towards AAP platform management. Usage of Ansible as a regular DevOps tool is not considered.
- Expert in Ansible Automation Platform and Ansible development experience, including reusable playbooks, roles, collections, workflows, execution environments, and governance
- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and proficiency in Linux administration and scripting (Shell, YAML, Python)
- Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and vault platforms (HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk)
- Working knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices for Infrastructure as Code, security, and compliance scanning (GitHub Actions, Argo CD)
- Working knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong experience with system performance, tuning, and automation troubleshooting
- Ability to support production incidents, root cause analysis, risk identification, and timely escalation in a 24x7 platform environment
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with experience in fast-paced Agile environments
- Ability to build cross-functional business partnerships with proven ability to contribute to technical strategy, mentor engineers, and improve automation practices
- Should have worked in Agile working model and exposure to ITIL concepts.
- Experience in python scripting.
- Experience in OCP and Kubernetes
- Exposure to AI terminologies.
- Ready to provide On-call support (need basis)
- Should be flexible at work and may need to extend as business demands
- Good team working skills and partner with members in different geographic locations.
