Roles and Responsibilities
- The Lead I&C Software Support Engineer is responsible for the delivery of high-quality engineering software. Work scope typically includes the following essential responsibilities:
- Development and deployment of special purpose Software Test tools within the Software team.
- Configure, Maintain, and improve the Software Development infrastructure (Dev Ops).
- Perform Unit/Module and Integration testing of Software packages in support of I&C deliverables.
- Develop creative solutions and reduce complexity to create accurate and effective solutions for complex engineering problems.
- Prepare Specifications, Reports, etc., in support of the Software Lifecycle.
- Perform Code Reviews, Documentation reviews, and other verification activities.
- Work with the technical leader to establish an effective work plan, including time estimates, schedule estimates, requirements and work processes.
- Manage time effectively to provide quality deliverables within the expected project timeline. Communicate effectively to leadership the status of work activities.
- Engage customers to define scope, review results, and discuss technical risks
- Effectively manage multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical, computer or software engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 5 years of experience in software testing, development, and deployment.
- 3 years of experience with coding conventions, unit testing and integration testing of software.
- 3 years of experience with Static Analysis and Unit Testing Tools (LDRA) and Software development infrastructure (GitLab).
Eligibility Requirements
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered within 200 miles of Wilmington.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of common computer languages (C, C++, Python) and software development tools (Version control, IDE’s, Debuggers, etc.).
- Solves technical challenges through application of common design patterns and identifying appropriate patterns for use in problem solving.
- Effective use of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience understanding coding standards that meets and delivers desired functionality using technology selected for the project.
- Experience meeting Industry Coding Standard - MISRA, CERT-C, BARR-C.
- Experience with software development in a regulated environment.
- Leadership experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to articulate clearly.
- Contributes to creative solutions and challenges status quo.
- Proactively learns new tools and identifies opportunities for improvement and promotes their adoptions new tools and identifies opportunities for improvement and promotes their adoption.
The base pay range for this position is $99k – $140k. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 5/14/25 .
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
