The Lead Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator will be the key point of contact for one of the HBA Airport service contract site & reporting to HBA HSE India north district leader, you will assist site Leadership in delivering the Honeywell and customer HSE requirements. Ensuring compliance and improving the safety culture within the portfolio. You will be responsible for effectively managing the day-to-day HSE activities at the site as a single point contact for all HSE matters of the site.
ResponsibilitiesAs the Health, Safety and Environment engineer at site your key responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure Compliance to Honeywell field HSE requirements and legislation for the site.
- Establish relationships and processes with site team to influence employees to meet site HSE goals and objectives.
- Support in the development & deployment of the district annual operating plan (AOP) for HSE performance. By ensuring the site HSE maturity requirements.
- Conduct regular site contract HSE reviews to increase HSE performance to the scope of works.
- Deploy a robust governance & auditing program for HSE at site.
- Present HSE related trainings (induction, job specific or standard), ensure compliance to training need analysis and training plans., behavior observations, improving culture at site.
- Work with the HSE leadership team to identify actions required to maintain or gain HSE Certifications to ISO 45001.
- Complete injury / incident investigations as required
- Assist in resolving potential non-compliance, enforcement actions or litigation regarding HSE matters.
- Partner with site leaders and employees to continuously improve the HSE culture & awareness.
- Maintains a close work relation with the site service leaders and Honeywell in regard with the Contract HSEMS management.
- Monitor, record and present HSE performance parameters regularly, highlighting the lagging and leading indicators to site and district leadership.
- Conduct HSE inspections, sharing the reports with site leadership and district HSE leaders.
- Ensure 100% TBT implementation at site.
- Ensure 100% adherence to customer HSE requirements and airfield operational procedures
- Issue and monitor the effectiveness of permit to work system at site level.
- Drive 5S & Kaizen initiatives at the site
- Ensure risk assessments (Job level, Task level and last minute) are effectively implemented at site.
Key Deliverables:
- Achieve or exceed the site HSE objectives– Incident reduction & elimination
- Sustain & improve the site HSE Maturity, observations, corrective action metrics & any other general KPI’s
- Ensure compliance to all HSE standards from leadership, employees, contractors and sub-contractors.
- Ensure an HSE continuous improvement culture is truly embedded in the site.
Basic Qualifications:
- University Degree in Engineering (Electrical degree preferred)/Science with 2 years of experience or Diploma in engineering (Electrical preferred) with 4 years of experience
- HSE qualification: Diploma in Industrial safety from recognized Institute. (Mandatory)
- Internal/Lead Auditor certification for ISO 45001:2018 (would be an advantage)
- Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to quickly build client – customer relationships in a challenging and changing environment.
- Minimum 2-4 years’ of HSE experience HSE Experience working with Airport/Manufacturing industry /Projects management /Construction industry desired.
- Airport /Aviation safety experienced would be an advantage.
- Strong written and communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft office application.

Skills Required
- University degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or Science with 2 years experience; OR Diploma in Engineering (Electrical preferred) with 4 years experience
