We are looking for a Lead HR Business Partner to join our People Team in Kansas City, MO or Ann Arbor, MI. This is an amazing opportunity to work at the center of Clarivate's ongoing business transformation, partnering with leaders across Academia & Government (A&G) and Shared Services to drive workforce strategy, organizational design, talent planning, and business performance.
The HR Business Partner team consists of HR Business Partners located across U.S., India, Serbia, and Israel, and this role reports to the Vice President, Executive HR Business Partner. We have a highly collaborative team with deep expertise in strategic HR consulting, organizational effectiveness, and talent management, and we would love to speak with you if you have experience supporting large global organizations and leading workforce transformation initiatives.
About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, communications, or a related field or equivalent, relevant work experience.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience
At least 5 years supporting leaders and employees in a global business environment

Experience supporting corporate functions, shared services, or global business services organizations
Experience leading enterprise-wide HR initiatives or transformation projects
Advanced education such as a master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
Experience partnering with geographically dispersed teams across North America, EMEA, and APAC
Experience partnering directly with senior leaders on business and people strategies
Experience utilizing HRIS platforms and HR technology solutions
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
What Will You Be Doing in This Role?
As a Lead HR Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders, helping shape workforce strategy while driving key HR programs and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
Owning and driving core HR processes in partnership with HR Centers of excellence
Developing and executing workforce and talent strategies focused on critical roles, succession planning, and organizational capability
Partnering with leaders to design scalable organizational structures aligned with business objectives
Providing strategic consultation on workforce challenges, organizational effectiveness, and people-related decisions
Leveraging HR data and analytics to guide business decisions and workforce planning
Participating in and leading cross-functional HR and business projects
Mentoring senior HR Business Partners and other members of the HR organization as needed
About the Team
The HR Business Partner team supports approximately 5,000 colleagues globally, team members are located throughout the United States, India, Serbia, and Israel, partnering closely with business leaders and HR Centers of Excellence worldwide.
This team plays a critical role in shaping organizational strategy, driving workforce design initiatives, developing talent pipelines, and helping leaders navigate change in a rapidly evolving business environment. Collaboration, strategic thinking, and business partnership are central to the team's success.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time, permanent position working primarily Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
This is a hybrid position based in Kansas City, MO or Ann Arbor, MI, with an expectation of working in the office up to two days per week. Some flexibility will be required to support global stakeholders across multiple time zones.
Approximately 10% domestic travel as needed to support business and leadership team initiatives.
