Key Responsibilities
Compliance, Risk and Governance
- Own and maintain the regional compliance and risk management framework, ensuring audit readiness.
- Implement robust governance for payroll and HR compliance vendors, contracts, KPIs, SLAs, and business continuity plans.
- Negotiate and manage key vendor partnerships, ensuring quality, compliance, and performance.
- Provide country-level input to APAC people policies (Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, China, Australia, India, Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong)
Employee Relations
- Lead employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR) matters in APAC.
- Advise HRBPs & business stakeholders on people risks, regulatory compliance, and engagement strategies.
Process Optimisation & Automation
- Conduct thorough analyses of current HR services and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency with differentiated employee experience.
- Design and optimize operational workflows and HR processes to ensure effectiveness and minimize manual & repetitive tasks
- Lead regional initiatives including automation, vendor transitions, new HR policies, and data quality campaigns.
- Drive initiatives that enhance overall employee experience and improve service quality.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a deputy to the Head of HR Core, stepping in seamlessly when needed.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, anticipate issues before they escalate and ability to quickly build trust with stakeholders
- Influence and raise standards across the HR Core team without formal line authority.
- Partner confidently with HRBPs, Legal, Finance, Audit, and IT on day-to-day HR matters.
- Coach junior team members and develop team capabilities to reduce single points of failure.
Expected Skills & Competencies

- Expertise in HR services digitisation, process optimisation, payroll, Workday, and compliance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead, inspire teams, and drive change initiatives

- Continuous improvement mindset. Uses data, metrics, and controls to improve efficiency, quality, and monitor compliance.
