Associate Compliance Engineer

SEL has an exciting opportunity to welcome a new employee-owner to our Product Compliance team in Pullman, WA. As an Associate Compliance Engineer, you will work in a state-of-the-art test facility.

As an Associate Compliance Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

• Develop and maintain an understanding of product safety standards and requirements. 

• Provide basic technical assistance to SEL product groups. 

• Create pristine product safety procedures and reports. 

• Review test documentation in accordance with ISO 17025 and other quality system and safety standard requirements. 

• Perform safety type tests as needed. 

• Provide mentorship for Product Compliance and R&D technicians.

​This job might be for you if:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, relevant discipline, or equivalent experience. 

• Knowledge of product compliance and engineering practices. 

• Experience with common test equipment and testing practices. 

• Self-starter with excellent written and verbal skills. 

• Knowledge of one of more of the following compliance areas: UL, CSA, IEC, CE.

Salary Range Data

We anticipate filling this position as a Associate Compliance Engineer $85,000 - $124,000 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job and responsibility. We base our starting pay offer and title on job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
