Summary Generated by Built In

Do you have deep expertise in electronic hardware and enjoy solving problems at the intersection of electronics, mechanics, software, and production? t Alfdex, you will take on a key technical role as we enter the next phase of our electrification journey, moving from development into serial production. You will combine hands-on engineering with technical ownership and have a real influence on how our products perform in the field.

WE OFFER

Alfdex is in the midst of its electrification journey, with new electric solutions moving from development to serial production. As Lead Hardware Engineer, you will become Alfdex's leading internal expert in electronic hardware. You will take technical ownership of the area, with the mandate to challenge solutions, make technical decisions and ensure robust hardware – from component selection and schematics to how the electronics perform as part of the complete product.

You will join a small and agile organization where decisions are made close to technology. This role gives you the opportunity to influence both today's products and how Alfdex develops its hardware competence, ways of working and collaboration with suppliers and development partners for the future.

YOU WILL

You will take technical ownership of electronic hardware throughout the product lifecycle, taking an increasingly hands-on role as our products move into production. A problem may begin with unexpected behavior in a vehicle, an issue in production, or a supplier proposing a component change. Your role is to understand what is really happening—whether the root cause lies in a component, PCB, cable, motor, software interface, or elsewhere in the system—and drive the right solution.

You will also review and challenge technical solutions from suppliers and development partners, ensuring that component choices and designs are appropriate for Alfdex products and robust enough for high-volume production.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Taking technical ownership of electronic hardware throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Reviewing schematics, component selections, and technical documentation at component and PCBA levels.

  • Driving troubleshooting and root cause analysis related to hardware, production, and customer issues.

  • Ensuring robust hardware solutions for high-volume production and supporting hardware-related activities as production ramps up.

  • Working with EMC, ESD, CAN communication, and hardware requirements.

  • Setting requirements and technically challenging suppliers, PCBA designers, and development partners while collaborating across electronics, mechatronics, and software.

YOU ARE

You have deep expertise in electronic hardware, at least ten years of relevant experience, and a university degree in electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field. You are comfortable reading and reviewing electronic schematics and can work at the component level while maintaining an understanding of the complete system. Your background includes electronic hardware design, verification, and troubleshooting, together with experience in CAN communication, EMC, and ESD. Experience with high-volume production is important, including an understanding of the challenges involved in moving from development and prototypes into serial production. Experience in the automotive industry or another safety-critical environment is highly valuable, while knowledge of mechatronics and BLDC motors is an advantage.

You are technically curious, hands-on, and comfortable challenging suppliers and making technical decisions. You enjoy digging into details when needed but can also step back and understand how electronics, mechanics, and software interact as a complete system.

Professional proficiency in English is required, while Swedish is considered an advantage. The role is based in Landskrona, and occasional travel to China and the United States may be required.
