Your exploratory and targeted analyses will inform decisions and create strategies to continue our fast pace of growth. You’ll help define growth marketing metrics, optimize marketing spend, develop a learning agenda and identify opportunities to improve our onboarding funnel.

Because the work is critical for our company, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about driving results through data driven insights. You'll report directly to the Director of Data & Analytics with a dotted line into the VP of Growth. You’ll dive deep to understand key drivers of conversion, LTV and retention. As a senior member of our team, you’ll influence the direction of marketing strategy and our analytics team.

You will build data visualizations that provide insights into how the business is performing, and uncover impactful insights that will drive the business forward. You will size opportunities to improve our strategy on a macro and micro level and see those strategies through to completion. You will become the SME for all things funnel, marketing and growth and identify opportunities to capture and create value. You will partner with a wide range of data practitioners, business leaders, software engineers and product managers to grow our company in a sustainable way.

How You'll Make an Impact On Our Growth:

  • You’ll understand the broad business context in order to partner with the VP of Growth and growth team to drive acquisitions and improve our onboarding funnel.

  • You’ll increase the aperture of focus to include the full customer lifecycle and find meaningful insights that drive growth in multiple dimensions.

  • You’ll have ownership over growth pod metrics, be the first to discover problems and lead with hypothesis driven investigations.

  • You’ll be a steward for all the people and data sources you rely on to drive insights - to ensure accurate and honest use of data.

How You'll Make an Impact On Your Team:

  • You’ll mentor fellow analysts, helping them grow their skills, and be open to learning from your teammates as you continue to grow your own skills.

  • You’ll introduce new ideas to help the team iterate on processes and deliver more robust data products.

  • You’ll audit and improve our growth marketing reporting dashboards.

  • You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on predictive data modeling

  • You’ll have the opportunity to contribute outside of growth marketing analytics; in particular to product strategy and operations.

  • Participate actively in RFC reviews across CS data verticals, encouraging application level data models that follow best practices and are usable downstream by the analytics team

  • Develop control structures to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels

  • Improve exploratory and testing capabilities of the data analytics team by developing new testing frameworks, writing transferable analytics code in dbt, and working with data engineering to translate analyst requirements into useful data models

What you have:

  • Most importantly: passion for growing a mission based company serving a financially vulnerable population, curiosity and drive

  • Advanced SQL required (dbt experience is a plus)

  • 4-6 Experience analyzing digital/marketing for a consumer mobile app product at a high growth subscription based company required

An Insider's view of Brigit

What are some social events your company does?

One of my favorite events that Brigit has is employee-run quarterly breakfasts. The staff running the breakfast attempt do their best in impersonating a New York deli - making breakfast sandwiches on griddles and pourover coffee to order. We also try to encourage a no meeting and laptop policy during the breakfast hour to spend some quality time.

Jeremy

Engineering Manager

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

Our goal on Data Science is to strike the right balance between helping more users and minimizing losses. Most users need money to purchase food, gas, or even buy a meal. The credit underwriting models we use allow us to help as many people as we can and improve our user retention over time in order to achieve a competitive advantage.

Madhu

Senior Data Science Manager

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I joined Brigit after graduating from college. During my 2.5 years at Brigit, my career has grown in ways I would not have expected. Six months into my time at Brigit, I began doing more backend work and moving into a Full-Stack role. After 1.5 years, I took on the role of technical lead on our Membership team.

Avery

Software Engineer -- Tech Lead

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

I'm always available via slack and then I work to schedule skip levels with everyone on engineering, as well as with folks outside of engineering on occasion throughout the month to make sure I have a pulse on how folks are doing. Additionally I try to solicit feedback through our culture & development platform and use that to spur conversations.

Hamel

Co-Founder & CTO

What are some things you learned at the company?

In my time at Brigit I've been able to learn how not to just build a brighter future for others but for myself as well. Each and every day here I have had the opportunity to improve my problem-solving skills, adapt to meet the needs of our users, and provide them the information they need to build the lives they want for themselves.
