All about the role:

We are looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to guide and grow our frontend development team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for both technical leadership and people management, driving the long-term direction of our web platforms. You’ll play a key role in shaping our frontend architecture, owning the design system, and ensuring high-quality delivery across the team.

A Typical Day

  • Lead the team: Manage and mentor a group of frontend engineers, supporting their growth, performance, and well-being.
  • Own the design system: Define, evolve, and maintain our design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and accessibility across products.
  • Set technical direction: Guide architectural decisions, advocate for best practices, and lead key technical initiatives.
  • Drive collaboration: Act as the primary interface between the frontend team and product, design, and backend teams.
  • Uphold quality: Promote clean, maintainable code through code reviews, pairing, and process improvements.
  • Foster a culture of learning: Encourage innovation, experimentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Who You Are?

  • 10+ years of frontend development experience.
  • 2+ years of technical leadership or engineering management experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling.
  • Strong experience of state management frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization including Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, and server-side rendering strategies
  • Experience working with Headless CMS platforms (preferably Optimizely CMS or Sanity CMS), including data modeling and integration.
  • Experience building responsive, accessible and cross browser compatible web applications
  • Experience with developing reusable component libraries or design systems is a strong plus.
  • Experience with .NET C# is a plus.
  • A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills in English and attention to detail.
  • A track record of mentoring and developing engineers, with a supportive and communicative leadership style.
