About Virtuozzo
Virtuozzo is a pioneering force in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, powering service providers globally with reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions. Born from innovations in container-based virtualization, we continue to contribute to major open-source projects like OpenVZ, Linux kernel, Kubernetes, CRIU, KVM, and OpenStack.
We are looking for a Lead Frontend Developer who will take responsibility for leading the technical direction of complex web applications. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership and governs frontend delivery across five vectors: Effectivity, Reliability, Security, Performance, and Versatility. This position requires deep experience with Vue and React, modern frontend tooling, testing, and building cloud infrastructure interfaces and dashboards. Experience with billing systems is a strong advantage.
Role & Responsibilities
• Product development according to the five core vectors
• Design, build, and evolve efficient, reliable JavaScript/TypeScript frontend code
• Own frontend architecture and technical decisions for complex, data-heavy UIs
• Extend and adapt existing codebases to support new functionality, browser/OS
updates, and performance improvements
• Build and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, including Playwright based E2E testing
• Participate across all levels of development, from detailed implementation to high-level UI and architectural design
• Analyze requirements and deliver robust, maintainable software solutions
• Perform code reviews, debugging, testing, and integration
• Mentor less experienced developers and act as a technical reference point
• Provide expertise in test automation, testing methodologies, tools, and processes
• Collaborate closely with Backend, Storage, Product Management, and other Virtuozzo Group teams
Requirements
• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, browser internals, and modern frontend architectures
• Production experience with Vue and React (or deep Vue expertise with prior React experience)
• Experience shipping complex, data-heavy UIs (forms, wizards, async/realtime states, large tables)
• Strong testing discipline: unit/component tests and Playwright E2E
• Experience consuming OpenAPI-generated clients and working with contract-drivenAPIs
• Experience building cloud infrastructure interfaces and dashboards
• Experience with billing, subscription, or payment-related systems is a strong advantage
• Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing Webpack and Vite
• Performance awareness (bundling, code-splitting, UX metrics), accessibility basics (WCAG), and secure-by-default practices (OWASP)
• Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines and iterative delivery workflows
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, concurrency)
• Ability to work independently, lead initiatives, and improve development processes
