The Role

Equipment Lead, Form Fill

Drug Product Primary Manufacturing produces sterile pharmaceuticals. The department includes equipment preparation, product formulation, material staging, and aseptic filling. Product in this area is filled into vials, syringes, or cartridges inside sterile isolator barriers. The sterile barrier isolator provides a physical barrier between the manufacturing equipment and the personnel controlling the machine. The Drug Product Primary Manufacturing area is a cleanroom environment. Personnel working in this area are required to wear scrubs and/or coveralls, gloves, hairnet, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes.

The Equipment Lead, Form Fill ensures the successful operation of the filling lines, equipment and processes. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment and processes and escalating, as needed, to ensure operations run smoothly.

This position works 12 hours; 6:00PM - 6:30AM rotating 3/4 nights weekly (Thursday – Sunday / Friday – Sunday alternating each week)

The Role

  • Typically acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others – but not a people manager
  • Assist manufacturing personnel to identify & eliminate waste, implement standard-work, and provide problem solving & solution implementation assistance
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment and recommend solutions; Escalate equipment issues in a timely manner to avoid downtime
  • Efficiently and safely setup and changeover various pieces of production equipment within the department
  • Log detailed equipment issues in an event log that is issued within the batch record
  • Reviews all equipment related activities within the Master Batch Record (MBR) throughout the shift to ensure effective and accurate communication of equipment and production activities
  • Other duties as assigned

The Candidate

  • High School/GED required
  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • 2 years of direct pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
  • Must be able to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements
