About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Financial Reporting Analyst within the Accounting Transformation Team. This position will support significant portions of the Axiom implementation and reporting modernization project. The Data Sourcing team is tasked with developing and executing data sourcing and testing requirements to be used to populate Financial and US Regulatory Reports. The data delivery automation activities will result in the accurate automated production of significant US Regulatory Reports such as the FR Y-9C, FFIEC 009 and FFIEC 031/041 among others.
In this role, you will:
Organize and lead companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes
Conduct data analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements
Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues
Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
Adhere to data governance standards and procedures
Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data
Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members
Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility
Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
Partner with groups and various levels of seniority companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution
Required Qualifications, US:
5+ years of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Expert in SQL or Python
Experience with BI tools such as Alteryx, Power BI
Thorough understanding of the design, development, and implementation of software solution
Desired Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science, Information systems or equivalent
Working knowledge of importing data for use in report software or analytical tools
4 to 5 years’ experience working in technology with focus on ETL and data analysis
Product knowledge in some or all the following areas (loans & leases, deposits, derivatives, securities, equity, capital etc.)
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory and financial reporting: Federal Reserve, OCC, SEC, etc.
Knowledge and understanding of corporate governance, financial reporting systems, legal entities, and role of regulatory authorities
