What are we looking for?
We are looking for Lead, Finance Projects to assist in the successful implementation of finance projects including IFRS17 and IFRS9, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving financial reporting excellence.
What are we expecting from this role?
- Assist the implementation project for IFRS17 and IFRS9, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and group requirements
- Liaise and execute a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation with consultants
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, internal cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project implementation process
- Assist the assessment for the impact of IFRS17 and IFRS9 on financial system, processes, taxes, and control, and propose strategies to address any gaps or potential deficiencies
- Analyze financial data and models to support the transition to new standards, including classification and measurement of financial instruments, impairment calculation, and insurance contracts.
- Assist in the design of functional specification for GL reconciliation between IFRS4 and IFRS17 and mapping of IFRS17/non-IFRS17 data to Chart of Accounts [+Design mapping of CoA in subledger to Group’s CoA in GL]
- Assist in preparing presentations and communicate regularly with senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, key milestones, and potential risks and issues.
- Involvement in Finance ad hoc projects where necessary, including leading them where appropriate
- Other tasks assigned by managements
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; ACCA or CPA qualified preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or auditing, with a strong focus on financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Prior experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in leading complex, cross-functional projects, particularly IFRS implementations.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS17 and IFRS9, as well as a strong understanding of local and international regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex accounting standards and apply them to practical situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SunGL, Oracle, Coupa), and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
