Leidos' Chief Information Office, reporting through our is seeking a Lead Finance Business Analyst to join the CIO/CIS Financial Services and Operations team. The selected individual will serve as a financial business partner to the CIO and/or CIS offices, providing financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and decision support for a multi-hundred-million-dollar IT and Cybersecurity portfolio.
Location: This is a remote role that requires occasional onsite support from Reston, VA.
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary financial partner for designated CIO or CIS sub-organization, delivering continuous financial oversight through monthly reporting, quarterly re-forecasting, annual operating plan (AOP) development, and long-range strategic planning.
Manage a portfolio of over $50M in annual costs
Perform monthly financial close, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting for CIO or CIS sub-organization budgets
Perform data analysis to develop strategies and plans to optimize costs.
Evaluate financial business rhythms and manage the Estimate at Completion (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), and Variance Reporting (VAR).
Partner with Budget Owners to create robust financial models for priority operational activities, including cost forecasting, funding alignment, and what-if scenario analysis.
Translate business trends into actionable financial risk and opportunity insights.
Partner with Global Supply Chain and Budget Owners to proactively identify, quantify, and incorporate cost impacts from new procurements and recurring contract, software, and subscription renewals into budgets and forecasts.
Drive process improvement and automation initiatives within the CIO/CIS Financial Services and Operations team.
Comfortably operate at the executive level; present financial strategy, risks, and recommendations directly to VP and Director-Level stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, or in a team environment and with various organizational levels.
Basic Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field coupled with minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in financial management or Master's degree coupled with 6 years.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
Experience overseeing a $50M+ annual financial portfolio, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting within an IT environment.
Strong understanding of government financial regulations, compliance requirements, and financial controls.
Experience with program start-up and lifecycle financial management
Proven track record of successfully managing the financial aspects of government programs.
Required Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated advanced Excel skills leveraging complex formulas and PivotTables to streamline data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience working in an Earned Value Management (EVMS) environment, supporting program/organization financial analysis and reporting.
Proven experience working with diverse funding sources, grant management, and chargeback processes.
Experience working with managed services and driving cost-saving initiatives in an IT environment.
Knowledge of Leidos Financial Systems.
OAC/data query tool experience.
