About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst who will be a critical member of the Wealth and Investment Management Consolidation team supporting executive level reporting to WIM's CEO/CFO and other key operating committee members within the Finance organization. The WIM Finance Consolidation (Planning & Analytics) team delivers insightful financial reporting, competitor intelligence, and strategic analysis to support executive decision-making, business planning, external reporting, and supports long-term value creation across WIM.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex initiatives on matters related to financial research, analysis, and reporting.
  • Make decisions in multi-faceted situations, providing advice and technical expertise on matters related to complex financial analysis and forecasting as well as economic research in support of management decision making functions.
  • Research strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning as well as enhancing reporting systems to support the production of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Provide support to more experienced professionals in the management of budgeting analysis, forecasting analysis, variance analysis, variance commentary, reporting and reviews, and presentation and project preparation.
  • Review and analyze complex technical challenges that require evaluation or multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
  • Make decisions in maintaining effective and efficient reporting delivery that meets brand standards and internal control standards.
  • Meet deliverables and drive new initiatives with solid understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • MBA, CFA, or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Background in Financial Planning & Analysis, corporate finance, consulting, investment banking, wealth management, or other highly analytical business environments.
  • Experience developing executive-level reporting, presentations, and insights for senior leaders, including CFO, CEO, and Operating Committee audiences.
  • Experience conducting competitor intelligence, market analysis, benchmarking, and industry trend assessments to support strategic decision-making.
  • Advanced technical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and AI-enabled productivity tools, including Copilot and other generative AI applications.
  • Proven ability to synthesize large, complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
