Job Summary

Fabricators manufacture assorted products using various raw materials, tools and their own hands. Manufacture customized products that meet customer specifications and prepare completed orders for shipment. Analyzes capacity and production data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources. Resolves issues related to production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations. Ensures quality control  standards are maintained.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Examines specifications of the customer’s order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
  • Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications. Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.
  • Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure
  • Follows company safety policies and procedures.
  • Coaches and trains lower-level fabricators on the proper execution of duties, ensures policies and procedures are followed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Experience with fabrication shop equipment.
  • Metal working experience.
  • Ability to professionally lead staff by example and handle light supervisory duties

  • HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs in a physical environment.
